END PERIOD POVERTY

SOME OF OUR WORK

Goals by the numbers

Here's Our Story
Period poverty is one of the biggest public crises in the country, and it’s an issue we don’t talk about enough. For those who lack access to menstrual products, managing a period can mean missing school, skipping activities, or choosing between basic necessities.
This is why we started our nonprofit, The Wellness Box Foundation, in 2021. As young women and full-time high school students living in Las Vegas, Nevada, we are especially concerned about students missing school because they lack menstrual products and resources. No one should have to sacrifice their education or feel ashamed because of their period.
Through hygiene kit distributions, menstrual health education, and advocacy, we work to make these essentials more accessible and open up conversations that have been overlooked for too long.
Mission
Our mission is to end period poverty. We aim to help those who do not have access to period supplies by distributing them to the community. Each wellness box contains period products, hygiene products and makeup items. We believe beauty is something you exude from the inside, along with confidence and wellness.
The Wellness Box Foundation also conducts writing workshops throughout the Las Vegas community to empower individuals to amplify their voices and share their stories.
We can only do the work we do with the assistance and partnership with our community. We welcome support year-round from individuals, organizations and corporations who believe in our cause. Thank you for sharing our vision in helping to end period poverty.
